Kendalle Wexler, LMFT, PsyD
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Post-Doctoral Fellow
Supervised by Miki Brownstone, PsyD
Kendalle is passionate about working with clients exploring aspects of intimacy (connection to self and others), relationship dynamics, racial identity, identity exploration, self-image, and or life transitions. She works with couples and individuals (18+) and is currently accepting new clients for teletherapy.
Kendalle’s therapeutic style is empathic and rooted in strengths-based models that integrate Solution-Focused Therapyand Narrative Therapy. She is known for bringing warmth to every conversation. Her approach to overall wellness is holistic in that she works in collaboration with her clients to explore the intersections between her client’s presenting concern(s) and all aspects of their larger system. Throughout that process, she listens for the meanings clients assign to various aspects of their lives, considers how their system impacts their behaviors and experiences, and works collaboratively with her clients to identify potential paths forward. This information helps to co-create and implement effective therapeutic interventions catered to each client’s unique needs.
Kendalle views each therapy session as an opportunity to plant seeds for the change clients hope to see in their life. Change can happen rapidly as those seeds take root. In working with Kendalle, clients will take each session one step at a time to ensure their individualized needs are being met. She is here to aid clients in their growth towards the life they want to lead.
Kendalle received her doctorate in Counseling Psychology as well as her masters in Marriage and Family Therapyfrom Our Lady of the Lake University (APA Accredited). She is currently licensed as a marriage and family therapist (LMFT) and is provisionally licensed as a psychologist while completing her post-doctoral fellowship with Presence Wellness. Throughout her career, Kendalle has spent 8 years providing counseling services in various settings, including private practices, university counseling centers, community counseling centers, inpatient / outpatient facilities, and assessment sites. Across all settings, she maintains a stance of non-judgement and respectful curiosity with all clients.
Personally, Kendalle enjoys dancing, doing puzzles, traveling, cooking, and trying new foods. She loves sharing in laughter and spending time with friends, family, and her dog Shiloh. Shiloh may make an appearance in virtual sessions from time to time.
