Myya Singletary
Practicum Student Therapist
Myya holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology and is currently a Doctoral Student in the Counseling Psychology program at the University of Texas at Austin. Myya approaches therapy from a multiculturally informed and person-centered lens. She offers compassion and authenticity when working with her clients on their journey to wellness. Myya utilizes modalities such as CBT, ACT, mindfulness, integrative behavioral health, and trauma-informed psychotherapy to best suit the needs of clients. Her research interests include race-related stress and coping, as well as health related outcomes with marginalized communities. In her free time, Myya enjoys reading, traveling, and hanging with her pup. She will be a practicum student therapist at PRESENCE for the Fall of 2022 and the Spring of 2023.
