iRest Meditation Class
Guided by expert therapist, meditation instructor and yoga teacher Dr. Tracy Carver, this meditation class gives you an opportunity to unwind, learn important meditation principles, and go deeper into self-integration by experiencing the well-researched iRest guided meditation practice. This class meets once a week for 50 minutes on Mondays at 3pm.
Have a spiritual bent? Want to learn core principles of spiritual growth common to many world traditions and how to implement them in your own life? Ancient wisdom traditions and indigenous cultures have much to teach the modern individual about what it means to be alive, human, and the full range of what is possible in the mind. We cover core, non-religious concepts of growth and then spend time in practice.
You will learn principles of meditation, how to deepen you practice, advanced strategies in spiritual development, and get to know warm, kind, deep and caring individuals also engaged in a spiritual practice. This group is open to all beliefs and does not require adhering to any particular tradition.
Many people these days are seeking a spiritual circle in which to deepen their inner spiritual experience without it being attached to a specific religion. There’s also the benefit of meeting other spiritually-minded individuals and sharing stories about the journey toward more depth, purpose and meaning in life. Our events are typically a mix of a teaching and discussion on a mystical or spiritual growth topic for about 30min followed by a guided meditation/contemplative practice, and some more sharing. If you’re a spiritual person and haven’t quite found your ‘tribe’ yet, come hang out with us!
Our spiritual groups offer a way to learn and practice mysticism and meditation in a non-religious setting. These popular groups combine some spiritual growth instruction with practice time. We rely on core common methods that exist in many world traditions to help you connect with your inner self, develop inner peace, learn how to de-stress, develop a sense of purpose and meaning in life, and deepen your resilience to life’s ups and downs. This class meets every other Friday morning for 90 minutes at 10am. Try it out!
Coming 2020: Therapeutic Yoga
Therapeutic yoga moves a little more slowly than most yoga classes. The class is guided by an expert yoga teacher, and you can follow along, or move however you want, following the needs of your body. Our yoga teachers are also therapists, and may check in with you to see how you’re doing. At times, you will meet your fellow classmates and maybe even share a little bit with them. We aim to build a sense of community while exercising and improving physical health, flexibility and strength. Therapeutic yoga also helps you get in touch with yourself, move emotions, develop peace of mind, and heighten somatic awareness, all while connecting with others. Come join us!
Some classes may require pre-registration. Just contact us at 512-469-0535 for more information or to sign up!
