Daniel Hochman, MD
Director of Medical Innovation
Dr. Daniel Hochman is a Board-certified psychiatrist, former chief resident at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and a recipient of the Psychiatry Academic Achievement Award. He is an expert in the treatment of addiction, passionate about nutrition and exercise physiology, and incorporates integrative strategies to improve mind and body.
He attended the University of Texas in Austin where he received the National Collegiate Natural Science Award. In medical school, he received a Global Healthcare Scholarship to pursue his interest in indigent care in Latin America. He is board certified in General Adult Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Hochman lives in Austin with his family and two rescue dogs where he has served as a volunteer firefighter. You can find him with his inflatable kayak in his trunk at all times, or on one of the many greenbelt trails. He is very passionate about nutrition and exercise physiology, wellness and holistic strategies to improve mind and body.
He has worked for the Army and was an instructor of family medicine at the Darnall Army Medical Center, has a specialization in opioid addiction, has worked at several addiction treatment centers, and is now in private practice. He is also the Creator and Founder of SelfRecovery.org, a self-paced addiction recovery online program that utilizes the latest science and is effective for healing from addiction.
